As part of its mission to promote cancer research in Morocco, and in line with the directions and recommendations of the National Plan for Cancer Prevention and Control (PNPCC 2020–2029), aimed at developing and supporting research projects, the Institute for Cancer Research (IRC) has established a dedicated platform for managing clinical and translational data. This platform is REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture).

Indeed, the implementation of such a solution responds to a strong need expressed by the research community to provide them with the necessary tools to conduct their studies under optimal conditions. At the same time, deploying such a solution represents a very important initial step that the IRC can leverage to map the key stakeholders in cancer research.

The deployment of the REDCap platform for the benefit of the oncology research community in Morocco will make it possible to:

• Facilitate the management of clinical data across different types of studies.
• Provide researchers with an online service that enables them to further improve the conduct of their clinical studies.
• Encourage researchers to adopt a standardized clinical data management approach that complies with international recommendations.
• Support oncology research in the following areas of interest:
  1. Epidemiology and Public Health
  2. Clinical Research
  3. Clinical Trials
  4. Human, Social, Legal Sciences, and Health Economics
  5. Biopathology and Biomedical Research
  6. New Technologies, Innovation, Engineering, and Information Systems
